Click & Snap

It all started from nowhere. Was just walking around during the IT Fair one year ago & unexpectedly left with a Canon EOS600D in my hands. A new 'toy' was brought into my life. A new hobby waiting to be explored. Let me share some of the shot's I captured for the pass one year.

 Half MoOn

Full MoOn

 Water Droplets - 1st attempt

 Night shots - Malacca Town

Night Shot 2 - Malacca Town

1st attempt at ray of lights..

Day Shot - Singapore
Its neither easy nor hard to operate a DSLR. Honestly, it's abit more complicated than a normal point and shoot. It's all down to practice. Practice makes perfect! What I like about it is that it gives you the flexibility of how you want the picture to look like as you have the control over the aperture, shutter speed and ISO. What I hate about it is that you need to shoot a few pictures to get what you wanted but sometimes even if you shoot all day, you just can't get the perfect picture!

Brazil Churrasco

I attended my engagement's pre-peak event at a Brazil Churrasco last night. Guess what? This place had been around in Singapore for the past 14years! A remarkable achievements and it still attracts customers until today.

For all meat lovers, this is the place to be...

They'll go around carrying this & sliced the meat to whatever portion you requested. Interesting!

All type of meat. Beef, Lamb, Chicken. & All part of the meat like beef hump, chicken heart & etc. Just meat, and more meat!

This pineapple was good! Juicy & sweet. Must try!

Dessert. Mango puding!

There's a Salad Bar inside Brazil Churrasco as well. But honestly, you need to fill your tummy with meat here not salad! Meat, & more meat!

Friday!

It's Friday! Yeah it's Friday! Used to be excited when I were a child. But once started working, the effect just wore off! Friday signaled the end of either a wonderful or shitty week. It also signaled a brand new wonderful or shitty week ahead!

I love Fridays! Just because I normally gets to go back earlier on Friday. Just because I have two days to rest and do my own stuffs. All this provided I don't have to work during the weekends! It's a BIG letdown if weekends are working days! Can't we have some rest at all? Even machines overheat during long runs, let alone human. Life's too short to ruin your life just like that. I want a new life and I want it fast!

1st day of work in 2012

1 great thing about iphone is the ability to blog while standing in the bus. On my way home from a tired first day of work in a hopefully great 2012! The way the bus driver manouvere the bus showed that the recent case whereby a lady felt and went into coma from the sudden brake has been forgotten. Even for a young man like me has problem balancing myself from this accelerate-break happy driver, let alone that unlucky lady!

Enough of my truthfully crapping, let me focus on my first day of work 2012. Following up on outstanding items, updating the working papers, drafting e-mails to chase outstanding items as well as requesting for future documents. In betwen, some admin matters. Felt superbly tired and bored! Routine and simply jz hated my work. All these just couldnt prevent me from wandering into my own fantasy world. So here comes my first resolution for year 2012, hopefully the dragon will show me the path to a new beginning or opportunity I long for since the first day I step into this job of mine!

So, let me ask you a question! Who am I? Eermm, I mean what am I?

Turkish Ice Cream

For S$3, you'll be entertained by the hilarious ice -cream man in Clarke Quay, Singapore. Watch him tease and playfully 'rob' your cone of ice-cream from you! Make sure you pay this Mado Turkish Ice-Cream a visit when you visit Clarke Quay next time for a little twist.

Fantasy Football

The 1 game I constantly play is a free fantasy football by yahoo. My friends & I created a private group & on a weekly basis we challenge each other here. The concept of the game is a simple 1 whereby each & every1 of us will select a complete team of 11players and from the preceding matches played, points will be given to the players based on stats like goals scored & against, assist, and etc.

For more info on the scoring basis, http://sg.premierleague.fantasysports.yahoo.com/football/rules

Hafy way there (after 19games), this is my result:

At the moment, I'm topping 2 of my private groups (EPL 11-12 & Bandar Hilir Cup). With 19 more matches to go, everything could change! I'm glad to have a whopping 100+ points gap at this stage!

Detailed table in EPL 11-12 is as follow:

In the world ranking, I'm abit far off, currently positioned at 100+ (my personal best so far). However, I'm seeking to improve as the season progresses.

To me, fantasy football is a great management game. A game to test your decision making, predictions and guts feeling. To all football lovers, it's worth trying as you can find various FF's game everywhere, both free & paid version. Furthermore, we have a FF's community, where we can chill & discuss our selections prior to the matches at http://www.starting11.com/.

I'm waiting for your challenges there. Don't make me wait too long!

My Life's Missing Puzzle

There's a piece of puzzle missing in my short life since 4 years ago. This piece will be lost forever. The once piece I'll never find again in my life. The once piece that'll make my life complete. The one piece that I'll regret losing. But fate has the final answer & me, the lil' one has no power to stop or control it...

2011 X'mas Celebration @ The Esta, Singapore

Dad's B'day 2011 @ Daorae, Melaka

The one and only missing puzzle of my life...

Mum, I'll miss you forever.

Bubble Milk Tea

One craze I picked up in Singapore is BuBble Milk Tea! Yeap, you heard it right. Ever since I were introduced to Eskimo 1 year ago by my senior, I'm hooked. You can find bubble milk tea shops everywhere in Singapore. Some of the 'brands' I tried...

From right: Gong Cha, Eskimo, Koi, & Woobbee

Koi, in my opinion is the popular one, closely followed by Eskimo, GOng Cha and remaining smaller outlets. I dont have a personal favourite but each & every 'brand' has it's own specialties.

The queues are crazy especially during lunch time! Below are examples from the 2 outlets below where I'm staying.

My question is, do you drink bubble milk tea because:
a) it's nice, real nice!
b) to follow trend, ppl drink I also drink
c) jz for the fun of drinking, to quench thirst and keep yourself cool, or
d) no particular reason or other reasons from above.

Whatever the reason, I love bubble milk tea & mind you it's not cheap, not cheap at all!

Art of Jail'Breaking

Finally, the untethered jailbreak for ios5.0.1 was announced some days back. I had jailbreak once during ios4.x.x days and the waiting for untethered ios5.0.1 jailbreak was a long journey. On the day of the release of the jailbreak, I was stuck in between of jailbreaking or not. Finally,I decided to ....

J.A.I.L.B.R.E.A.K!!!

To be honest, you dont have to pay someone to jailbreak for you! The jailbreak process is easy and not complicated. To those interested future jailbreakers, you can refer here http://www.iphoneleaks.net/2011/12/redsn0w-0-9-10-b1-jailbreak-5-0-1-untethered-on-iphone-4-3gs-ipad-1-ipod-touch-how-to/.

For me, I love customisation & that's the reason for me to jailbreak. Let me show you what I meant below:

On the right: Current lockscreen with during the day
On the left: Current lockscreen at night
(notice the change of graphics based on the time of the day)

1st page of my homescreen. Theme used is revi-krs (can be obtained from Cydia from some repositories) Notice the dock as well. Normal iphone only permits 4icons.

There's so much Jailbreaking can customise and do to your 'boring' iphone interface. If you are still sitting between the fence on whether to jailbreak or not, I'll say go & Jailbreak & you'll never regret it! If you ever regretted, there's always the option to restore back your iphone (remember to backup 1st). Last but not least, jailbreak is 100% L.E.G.A.L!

X'Mas 2011

Christmas as they said, is a time for celebration! This year I had the opportunity to spend with my relatives and closed ones in Singapore.

Build up to X'Mas

Together with some close friends, we gathered to have a X'Mas eve buffet get together. What's better to usher the coming X'Mas with foods!

Location: Momiji Japanese Buffet, City Square Mall
Comments:  Wide spread of food from sashimi(s) to snow crabs (too bad only on weekends). Nice atmosphere, good food and reasonable price. Worth trying!

Celebration 1

Cheers at Clarke Quay. This place is just awesome for a stroll among loads of people from all races!

Celebration 2
The perfect celebration is to spend it with your loved ones. This year's family's X'mas celebration was held in Singapore.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing my 'ah ma' getting to meet her distance relatives in Singapore.

Celebration 3
I just cant live without food. They were simply irresistible! This time it was Modesto's in Vivocity for an Italian dinner with my sis and gf!

Bread with olive oil & vinegar
 Chicken wings
 PiZza
Pasta

Me with my sis, Evelyn

I had a great X'Mas this year. I love my family & celebrating a special day with them is just lovely!
